The Dragonfly Secret

Lets Nature Tell Story of Friendship, Love, and Remembrance for Children

“The Dragonfly Secret: A Story of Boundless Love” gently encourages children and adults to consider life’s infinite possibilities. The story takes place in a beautiful garden and depicts a unique friendship between a boy and dragonfly. At the request of the boy, the dragonfly follows clues and discovers an unexpected secret. Part mystery, part surprise, readers will discover the power of boundless love in this heartfelt story of friendship, family, and remembrance. Children and adults may look at nature in an entirely new light.

“There are many perspectives from which people try to interpret what happens in their lives,” said author John Adams. “In this story, we hope to show readers how nature may comfort someone who is coping with a loss.” His co-author, Clea Adams, continued, “Our goal was to write a meaningful story for children and adults showing that memories of a loved one are forever. By using nature as the centerpiece, John and I have also tried to portray a more expansive, interrelated view of our world and nature’s role within it.”

Feather Rock Books, Inc. has just released its children’s book, “The Dragonfly Secret - A Story of Boundless Love,” written by Clea Adams and John Adams. Beautifully illustrated, this hardcover book contains vibrant illustrations by award-winning artist Barbara L. Gibson.

This is John Adams’ second children’s book. His first award-winning book, “The Dragonfly Door,” is a heartfelt story written to help children cope with loss and change. It features a water nymph that transforms into a beautiful dragonfly. The new book is a continuation of the dragonfly’s life above the marsh.
