Home Cookin’ for Dogs!

When her neighbors lost their dogs from tainted commercial dog food, author Deb McEnery stopped buying commercial dog food and started making her own. Her recipes can be found in “Home Cookin’ for Dogs!” (published by AuthorHouse - http://www.authorhouse.com)

McEnery’s dog Jinger made it difficult to buy commercial dog food due to corn allergies. When her neighbor lost her pets to tainted dog food, McEnery decided she would do much better if she made the dog food at home. She could guarantee that her pet would not eat foods she was allergic to and she knew that it was safe.

Armed with the information of what her pets could not have she created 11 recipes and two treat recipes for her pets to enjoy. Giving her peace of mind, after a visit to the vet’s office she discovered her pets’ overall health had improved. She never bought commercial dog food again. Her dog’s allergies, weight and digestive problems were resolved. She discovered that she spent less on dog food, and “Home Cookin’ for Dogs!” was born.

About the Author: Deb McEnery lives in southwestern Indiana with her husband, Liam, their two dogs and several parrots. “Home Cookin’ for Dogs!” is her first book. She is currently working on a children’s book.
