ELECTION 2008: Lipstick on the Pig

Earth Intelligence Network Releases New Book
Earth Intelligence Network, a 501(c)3 Public Charity dedicated to creating public intelligence in the public interest, today has released a new free online book ELECTION 2008: Lipstick on the Pig.

Opening with a denouncement of the proposed bail-out as both unconstitutional and fraudulent, the Preface identifies two greater dangers: electoral fraud and the displacement of voters by corporations; and the growing activism of two-dozen secessionist movements, a handful of which could secede from the Union during their forthcoming November 2008 meeting immediately after the fraudulent election.

Chapters helpful to voters concerned about the irrelevance and incapacity of both candidates for president - and their spin-oriented staffs - inform on the following topics: The Substance of Governance; Legitimate Grievances (first half on secessionists, second half on anti-Americanism); Candidates on the Issues; Balanced Budget 101; and Call to Arms: Fund We Not Them.

The book, written by the #1 Amazon reviewer for non-fiction, concludes with an annotated bibliography divided into the following sections, each providing full book citations each with a direct link to the author’s complete summative review online: Anti-Americanism; Betrayal of the Public Trust; Biomimicry & Natural Capitalism; Blessed Unrest & the Tao of Democracy; Capitalism Run Amok; Collective Intelligence & Wealth of Networks; Culture of Catastrophe & Cheating; Deception, Facts, Lost History, & Lies; Democracy in Decline; Emerging Threats; Failed States & Sorrows of Empire; Future of Life & Plan B 3.0; Innovation & 21st Century Leadership; Instruments of National Power; Intelligence & Decision-Making; Internet; Philosophy, Psychology, & Religion from Faith to Fascism; Strategy; and War, Waste, & Crimes Against Humanity.

The book, a free full-color online PDF, may be loaded to any website or accessed directly at http://www.oss.net/PIG. The publisher urges media and other organizations to adopt the book as their own and offer their readers direct access rather than overloading the public service website.

From Inner City Chicago Kid to Creative Inspirational Writer

Author who once started college at age 16 to get out of inner city publishes poetry of real-life experiences and emotions from a unique perspective
Chicago native Aaron J. Dowdell has done what many told him he couldn’t because he’s an inner city kid raised in the most imperfect environment. He published his first book in 2003 then revised it in 2006 on Lulu.com

Whether it was waking up at 3am almost every day, driving a forklift at work, or sitting in a classroom full of kids learning as a Youth Counselor, the words poured out with no regard of time, space, or location. He wrote on invoices, receipts, and during walks around campus or the mall. Once it turned on, it couldn’t be turned off.

Gerry B. Ullrich Jr. comments: “In a world that is cynical, self-centered, and cold, Aaron’s words will stir up long dead emotions and bring comfort to your soul.” The title is called The In Zone and each chapter consists of the most universal topics of life (Love, Hope, Departure, Friendship, etc. …) and within each chapter are “pieces” that are carefully written to connect to the chapter and the reader. Some pieces give advice, talk about the unspoken bond we share, and others describe what it feels like to be “at peace” or cared for. The “IN” of the title represents where the creativity of written expression lies. The goal is to go beyond being an author who wrote a book and be an artist who uses words to paint emotions.

Aaron was destined to do great things at a young age. Growing up in a single-parent home, in a gang-infested place statistics show are next to impossible to succeed; age 21 was when the pen was picked up with a purpose. 110 pages and 23 weeks later the book was completed and the journey of writing continues.

The book offers the understanding of heartfelt emotions and was designed for the reader to connect with that understanding with every word written with an in-depth style and flow all its own. It also serves as an addition to an already established foundation of people’s homes. View excerpts and purchase a copy of The In Zone - Feelings, Expressions, and Insights From Within by visiting http://www.lulu.com/content/441817.

Keep Off the Grass

HarperCollins Publishers India is to add another debutant bestseller to its existing list. Keep of the Grass by Karan Bajaj has run into its 3rd print run within 3 months of its release in June 2008, with selling over 15,000 copies.

The book was first launched in Delhi on May 31, 2008 commencing the 5 city tour of the author.

About Keep off the Grass:
What do you do when you are a twenty-five-year-old Yale graduate making half-a-million dollars a year as a hotshot investment banker on Wall Street? You bust your ass and become a millionaire by thirty, of course.

Not if you are Samrat Ratan, born in the USA to immigrant Indian parents; you quit and enrol in business school in India instead. Samrat's rollercoaster journey begins at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bangalore, where he spends his time getting high on marijuana while his grades – and self-confidence – plummet. Soon, Samrat's quest for identity turns increasingly bizarre as it takes him places he hadn't planned on visiting – prison, for example – and makes him do things he hadn't banked on doing: 'meditating' stoned with a sexy Danish hippie in the Himalayas, hanging out with a cannibal on the banks of the Ganga, and peddling soap to the formidable Raja Bhaiya in Benares.

Does Samrat – Yale valedictorian, investment banker, convict, pothead – survive his fall from grace? Read Karan Bajaj's hilarious, yet introspective debut novel to find out.
